For the Jaljeera:

  • Mint leaves: 1/2 cup
  • Fresh coriander leaves: 1/4 cup
  • Roasted cumin powder: 1 tsp
  • Black salt: 1/2 tsp (adjust to taste)
  • Tamarind pulp or lemon juice: 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper: 1/4 tsp
  • Chaat masala: 1 tsp
  • Cold water: 2–3 cups
  • Ice cubes: as needed

Making process

Step 1: Blend the Ingredients:

  1. In a blender, add mint leaves, coriander, tamarind or lemon juice, cumin powder, chaat masala, black salt, and black pepper.
  2. Blend with a little water into a smooth paste.

Step 2: Mix and Strain:

  1. Transfer the paste to a large bowl and add 2–3 cups of cold water.
  2. Mix well and strain if desired for a smoother drink.

Step 3: Serve:

  1. Pour into glasses over ice cubes and serve chilled.
